Andreea Cojocaru is Romanian-born and currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. She studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and graduated from the Jewellery Design Gold—and Silversmithing Department.

Fundamental to Cojocaru’s work is the idea of value, circularity, and traceability. Essentially, preciousness is not only found in materiality but in craftsmanship and labor too. The project ‘Made in Belgium by a Romanian’ comments on the conditions under which products are manufactured viewed through the lens of fair labor compensation.
